GEORGE CRUTCHER'S talk will trace the fascinating history of beer and brewing from its domestic origins to the Industrialisation of the 19th and 20th centuries. Particular attention will be paid to the brewing industry in Hertfordshire and what became of it. The industrial archaeology of brewing will be explored and illustrated.
