Michael Perrins

Childhood encounters with a Polyphon musical box, a neighbour’s Pianola and later a fairground organ, sealed Michael’s lifetime interest. He will use examples from his own collection which covers the whole history of this entertaining subject and of course will include some seasonal tunes.

Meeting followed by traditional Christmas nibbles and jollification.

An engineering apprenticeship at Doncaster Railway Works, Engineering Officer at the British India Steam Navigation Co. where he worked on a variety of ships including LSL Sir Lancelot based in Singapore and later a Senior watchkeeping engineer on the ships the SS Uganda and Nevasa.
