Mike StanyonHonorary Lead Archivist at Frogmore Paper Mill and author of several books related to the industry, Mike will tell us about the history and processes of Papermaking as well as some of the people involved such as John Dickinson and William Lepard of Hamper Mill.

Well known for his expert knowledge of transportation history and author of many related publications, Rudi returns to talk about two of the worst railway disasters, Tay Bridge 1879 and Quintinshill 1915.(The meeting will be preceded by the AGM at 7.30pm) |

Founded in Birmingham in 1750 the Society was an exclusive venue for discussion and exchange of ideas by leading industrialists of the time. After a career as a chemist Derek has been extensively involved withindustrial history and is also a U3A speaker. |

Jim will continue his history of 500 years of technical developments in the Entertainment industry. From BBC studio manager, Jim moved into sound engineering and computerised designs for moving scenery and lighting in West End theatres, film and TV.This meeting will include our usual cornucopia of seasonal nibbles. |
